FINANCIAL
SUPPORT
Prodigals Community receives
funding from individuals,
churches,
church organizations, businesses and foundations.
Residents of the
alumni houses pay a program
fee.
New Salem
residents
currently provide forty-two percent of their program costs through their
participation
in Prodigals Property
Services. Churches contribute
greatly to the life at Prodigals Community with financial and volunteer
support. Nearly one-third of the operating budget comes from
churches.
Individual support is also an important part of our revenue and also makes up
approximately one-third of our budget. Checks should
be made out to Prodigals Community, PO Box 12451, Winston-Salem, NC 27117.
E-mail
us or call (336) 785-0770 for more information. Donors who want
to contribute over the internet can do so by visiting
JustGive.org.
JustGive will notify us of your donation but we ask that you also please
e-mail
us to inform us of your online donation.
Key Partners
are men and women who are committed to Prodigals Community and know that
sustaining its vitality and growth requires a stable base of financial support
from which program services can be continued and expanded. Key Partners pledge
to give either $1000 a year for 3 years or $500 a year for 6 years. Donated Cars: Our car care business
will be cleaning up donated cars for new program graduates or for sale to provide
revenue to increase bed space. At trade-in time please consider giving both your used car
and a Prodigals resident new life . For more information
e-mail
us or call (336) 785-0770.
United Way donors can designate their
United
Way gifts to Prodigals Community by filling in "Prodigals Community"
in the Pledge Designation section of the
United
Way pledge form. Ninety percent of your gift will go to Prodigals
Community. We do not receive government funding nor are we a United Way agency.
The residents generate forty to fifty percent of their
program costs through Prodigals Property Services. This covers the basic house operating costs.
Churches,
businesses, individual and foundation gifts provide the program services: counseling,
education, spiritual development, and other structured opportunities for
recovery.
Donations can be made online
through JustGive.org. Dedicated
to creating tools and services to make charitable giving part of our everyday
lives, JustGive is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to increase
charitable giving by connecting people with the charities and causes they care
most about. JustGive.org charges a 3% fee for the processing and credit card
costs.
